VOICE lessons with Serene offers comprehensive lessons for all abilities. Serene will help students learn music in a style that caters to their musical interest. Lessons are one on one and are designed for each student to progress at their level.

Serene offers audition preparation lessons for all ages.

$55 one-time registration fee.

$50 per 30 minute or $100 per hour.

Private In Person Lessons

What should I expect when taking private lessons with Serene?

Weekly 30 minute lessons.
Master classes given throughout the year.
Register your student, fill out SVS Forms including expectations, cancellations, tuition and communication. Pay registration fee.
Coordinate a lesson time with Serene.
Tuition is paid on a monthly basis.
Access to the online student portal.

What to expect from your first lesson

Serene will get to know you and understand your musical background.
We will chat why you want to take voice with me and what goals you have as a singer and/or performer.
I’ll ask about what styles of music you’re interested in singing.
Be prepared to sing.
Note taking supplies as needed.
Water.

*Adults students are taught on a lesson by lesson basis.

*Master classes are only offered to students ages 12-18, enrolled in private lessons on the monthly tuition track.

Why take voice lessons?

Everyone can sing, so why take voice lessons? A vocal teacher can guide you not only to improve your voice, but also to teach you how to practice with more focus and efficiency. Other areas we work to improve include proper breathing, posture, tone production, intonation, diction, phrasing and ear training. Voice is also about interpretation and bringing a specific message to your audience. How do you do that? Serene has an extensive performing background and can help you become a better performer and communicator to your audience. She will guide you in gaining confidence and more consistency in your voice. If you are a person that is fearful and nervous to perform in front of anyone, Serene encourages her students to begin with a group class. A group voice class can help ease students into performance within a supportive and safe environment. Whether you want to sing for enjoyment, school plays, choir, auditions, theater or simply to develop the best version of yourself, Serene will help you find YOUR voice.
